Welcome to Boutique 73! To complement your luxury stay, we are happy to share our favorite spots for lunch and dinner in the immediate area. Carinthia is famous for its Alpe-Adria cuisine: a delicious blend of Austrian tradition with Italian and Slovenian influences.
Discover the best traditional "Gasthäuser" and culinary highlights to complete your holiday experience.
🌟 Fine Dining & Unique Ambience
These are the spots for a special night out or an unforgettable sunset by the water:
Stiftsschmiede (Ossiach): A culinary highlight (highly rated in gourmet guides). Excellent, creative fish dishes (such as Arctic char and lake trout) sourced directly from the lake. The romantic lakeside setting is perfect for sunsets.
Stoffelwirt (Bodensdorf, Gerlitzen Alpenstraße): Located 250m above the lake, this is a must-visit. The panoramic view over the entire Lake Ossiach is breathtaking. Offers excellent regional and flavorful cuisine.
CMA - Kulinarik.Campus (Ossiach): Located within the historic Abbey (Stift). Enjoy modern, seasonal, and regional cuisine in a unique, historic atmosphere.
🇦🇹 Authentic Carinthian Cuisine (The "Gasthäuser")
Taste true Carinthian hospitality and traditional, hearty dishes:
Urbani Wirt (Bodensdorf): A traditional family-run business known for authentic Carinthian cuisine. Be sure to try their seasonal dishes, such as the famous "Kasnudeln" (cheese noodles) or venison in autumn.
Kuchlerwirt (Treffen am Ossiacher See): A truly warm and honest Gasthaus. Perfect for those seeking traditional, solid Austrian fare.
Zum Treffner (Treffen): A welcoming tavern featuring homemade, regional, and partly organic dishes.
Martinz (Ossiach): Focused on fresh, seasonal specialties. Popular dishes include their Venison Burgers and Trout fresh from the lake.
Landgasthaus Berghof: Classic Austrian "home cooking" (like Schnitzel and Cordon Bleu) and pizza in a cozy atmosphere.
🍕 Casual & Quick Stops
Ideal for a quick lunch, pizza, or a relaxed break by the water:
Gästehaus Krappinger: Great for both traditional Carinthian dishes and fresh oven-baked pizza. In summer, the beer garden is a lively meeting spot.
Gasthof Zum Leo (Bodensdorf): Featuring a lovely terrace and views. A great spot for coffee, ice cream, or a simple meal after a bike ride.
Tamaras Restaurant mit Edelbränden: Small, cozy, and very local. A strong focus on products from local farmers. Tip: Try one of their homemade "Edelbrände" (schnapps) as a digestif!
Local Tip: Many restaurants in Carinthia are very popular. Especially during high season, we highly recommend booking a table in advance!
